Equipment
The Radio & Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Directive (R&TTED)
1999/5/EC established a regulatory framework for the placement, movement
and activation of radio equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment
in the European Union. With the exception of several categories of equipment
outlined in Annex I, the R&TTE directive applies to all equipment
utilizing the radio frequency spectrum and all terminal equipment attached
to the public telecommunications networks.
